Employability and Perceived Attainment of Program Educational Objectives and Program Learning Outcomes: A Tracer Study of Batch 2022 Graduates of the College of Education

This tracer study evaluated the effectiveness of the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) and Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) programs of the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA – Molino Campus in relation to graduate employability, licensure performance, and the perceived attainment of Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) and Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs). Combining total population and snowball sampling techniques, all 11 graduates from Batch 2022 participated in the study through a validated tracer survey distributed via Google Form. Ethical considerations were strictly followed throughout the conduct of the study. Using descriptive statistics, findings reveal that graduates demonstrated exceptional performance in the Licensure Examination for Teachers, and employability with most securing teaching positions within a month after graduation. Alumni also reported high levels of competence in teaching, professional qualities, and community involvement, signifying that PEOs and PLOs are perceived to be highly attained and aligned with the demands of the education sector. These results affirm the program’s effectiveness in producing competent and socially responsible educators.  However, alumni showed limited engagement in action research, reflecting the need to further cultivate a research-oriented culture in the profession. To sustain and enhance the strengths highlighted, it recommends strengthening alumni tracking systems, expanding support for continuing education, and promoting initiatives that engage graduates in evidence-based teaching and research practices.
