This report addresses commonality between the rhetoric of Reverend Howard Thurman and Reverend Harold Turner insofar as both of them aligned with Martin Luther King’s stated preference to avoid emotionalism with his presentations. This analysis focuses on the speaking and writing of both Thurman and Turner. The conceptual centering on rhetoric is used in this study as means to provide academic grounding for the analysis. This serves to help frame the rhetorical practices of Thurman and Turner in relation to management perspectives.
