Waiver Policy

UKR Publisher is committed to promoting equitable access to scholarly publishing. We recognize that some authors, particularly those from developing countries or institutions with limited research funding, may face financial constraints in paying Article Processing Charges (APC).

To support inclusive academic publishing, UKR Publisher provides a waiver policy for authors who are unable to cover the publication fees.

Eligibility for Waiver

Authors may request a partial or full waiver of the Article Processing Charge under the following circumstances:

  • Authors from low-income or lower-middle-income countries.
  • Researchers without institutional or grant funding.
  • Early-career researchers or students with financial limitations.
  • Authors facing exceptional financial hardship.

Each waiver request is evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the editorial office.

How to Request a Waiver

Authors who wish to apply for a waiver should submit a request to the editorial office at the time of manuscript submission or after acceptance of the manuscript.

The request should include a brief explanation of the financial constraints and any relevant supporting information.

Waiver requests will be reviewed confidentially, and decisions will be communicated to the corresponding author.

Editorial Independence

The decision to grant a waiver has no influence on the editorial review process. All manuscripts submitted to UKR Publisher journals undergo the same rigorous peer review process regardless of the authors’ ability to pay publication fees.
