Towards an integrated strategy for crime management and achieving community security
Crime is one of the most prominent challenges facing contemporary societies due to its direct impact on social stability and sustainable development. Therefore, this study aims to propose a vision for an integrated strategy for crime management and achieving community security, based on a shift from traditional security-focused approaches to a comprehensive, multidimensional strategy. The proposed strategy is based on integrating security, social, economic, and cultural dimensions, emphasizing the role of early prevention as the most effective way to reduce crime. It also highlights the importance of partnerships between state institutions, civil society, and the media in promoting community awareness and building a legal culture based on respect for the law and collective responsibility. The strategy places particular emphasis on using data and scientific analysis to understand crime patterns and their causes, contributing to the formulation of flexible security policies that can adapt to social transformations. It also underscores the role of restorative criminal justice in reintegrating offenders into society and reducing recidivism rates. The study concludes that achieving sustainable community security requires an integrated strategy that balances deterrence and prevention, placing the individual at the heart of the security process, thereby strengthening mutual.
