Green Organizational Practices and Implications for Environmental Performance: A Focus on Developing Countries

Owing to global changes in climatic conditions, there is a rising concern among businesses to align their processes and products in line with international environment standards. In this study, extant literatures on green organizational practices and environmental performance are reviewed with a focus on firms in developing countries. The study was limited to the period from 2018 through 2023 to ensure that recently published articles were considered. The result from the review indicated that firms which imbibe green organizational practices influence green innovations in both products and processes in addition to maintaining green employee behaviour. Thus, these practices enhance environmental performance. However, the study found that generalization using these results may not be possible because of the dearth of researches in this area in most developing countries which suggests that future papers should focus on these countries, especially countries in Africa.
