Centered on “panel aesthetics,” this paper proposes an integrated method for constructing bodice balance in women’s wear that combines mechanical balance with visual-proportion principles, aiming to overcome the limitations of traditional block patterns. Through a literature review, the study clarifies the mechanism by which panel aesthetics influences bodice balance and identifies key variables—such as ease distribution and dart allocation—validated in loose-silhouette garments. Results confirm the method’s effectiveness in improving both fit and visual appeal. Future research should explore applications in intelligent design, new textiles, and cross-cultural aesthetics.
