Integrating AI Virtual Humans into Broadcasting and Hosting Education: Pedagogical, Ethical, and Industry Implications
The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) has introduced virtual humans as innovative tools in broadcasting and hosting, transforming traditional practices and pedagogy. This study explores the integration of AI virtual humans into broadcasting and hosting education, focusing on technological development, pedagogical adaptation, audience perception, ethical considerations, and industry applications. Utilizing systematic literature review and real case analysis, the research examines domestic and international AI implementations, highlighting their implications for curriculum design, skill development, and professional practice. The findings demonstrate that AI virtual humans can enhance efficiency, multilingual content delivery, and interactive engagement while revealing limitations in emotional expression, improvisation, and cultural nuance. This study proposes comprehensive educational strategies, ethical guidelines, and curriculum modules to prepare broadcasting students for AI-augmented media environments.
