UNESCO has been promoting education as a key component of the global response to climate change through its program on education for sustainable development. As a global advocate and with the goal of enhancing governments’ abilities to deliver high- quality climate change education, UNESCO creates and disseminates research, offers policy direction and technical support to its member states, and puts projects into action.
