The South Sudan Historical Complexity

In this historical complexity of South Sudan, I am indebted to write with reference to the colonial impact of historical graphs on South Sudanese historical sources studies and the way of nation building. There are some historical writings which were paving the directions that South Sudanese historians may take them in a proper historiography.

The writing intends to introduce the people of South Sudan into the historical development of education. It philosophies, principles and practices in education and to create an understanding of various social, economic and political factors that shapes its system of education.

The methodology used in this research is qualitative methods. this is through existing review literature, by using available sources such as primary and secondary materials, includes some Journals, Articles, researches thesis and reference books to supplements the writings.

The findings of this research is the knowledge of historical background of education, and the factors affecting the development of theory and practices of education; the early regional religious education in the Sudan in 14th -16th centuries during the Turko-Egyptian, Mahdia period, education development during the Condominium Rule and the Missionaries education.

Therefore, the history and the historiography of South Sudan peoples, was neglected or intended left out. This is One of the motives or reasons which prompted the writing of this Article as a South Sudanese scholar.
